Buzz Audio Buzz Audio: Buzz Audio offers a full line of 500 Series signal processors. The Elixir is a true Class A preamp. The Essence is a true Class A differential optical compressor. The Potion is a true Class A FET compressor. The Tonic is a true Class A 3-band EQ.Website: Buzz Audio

Purple Audio Purple Audio: Purple Audio offers two separate 500 Series preamps, the Biz and the Pants. Other 500 Series modules include the Cans headphone amplifier, the Odd inductor EQ, and the Action FET compressor.Website: Purple Audio

Tube-Tech Tube-Tech: The EM 1A Equalizer contains a low frequency boost and attenuation section (shelving), and a high frequency boost section (peaking). The high frequency section has variable bandwidth as well as attenuation (shelving). The filter section is of the passive type followed by a tube based push-pull amplifier to restore the gain.Website: Tube-Tech

API API:  The 512C is a discrete mic/line pre with 65 db of gain, front and back panel mic input access, and a line/instrument preamp with 50db of gain.Website: API

Chandler Limited Chandler Limited: The Germanium 500 preamp/DI uses classic Germanium transistors in all class A, transformer balanced circuits. Front panel controls include input gain, feedback drive, pad and phantom power. The DI input jack is also on the front panel.Website: Chandler Limited

Great River Great River:  The MP-500NV is a professional mic pre designed to recreate the vintage sound characteristics of the early 1970's large consoles. Metering before and after the major gain stages allow the user to drive it hard to greatly expand the range of sonic options.Website: Great River

A Designs A Designs:  A Designs offers five new mic pre's for the 500 series. Chose from the P-1, the EM Silver, the EM Gold, the EM Red, and the EM Blue.Website: A Designs

VintageDesign VintageDesign: The Vintagedesign M581 is a new version of the much-acclaimed M81R preamp in a package built to fit an API 500-style lunchbox or rack.  For space reasons we developed a new output transformer designed to fit the narrower, 1.5-inch frame of a 500-series module.Website: VintageDesign

Alternate Soundings (al.so) Alternate Soundings (al.so): One of the innovations of the MODUAL series is the two channel capabilities of the modules. To achieve this goal it is necessary to use an adapter (gender changer) on the rear female XLR connector. 500 Series moduals include the dual mic pre MP2, the dual DI MDI2, the M2U monitoring section with Cue and Talkback capabilities, and the M2B that has four stereo inputs to one stereo master ouput with insert point.Website: Alternate Soundings (al.so)

Anamod Audio Anamod Audio:

The AM660 is a faithful recreation of the classic sound and compression profile of the Fairchild 660, using the AnaMod™ process to model the complex tube circuitry of the 660 and implement it entirely in the analog domain. Unlike a digital plug-in or processor based outboard gear, there is no latency, and no A/D or D/A conversions to compromise the sound.

Avedis Audio Avedis Audio: The E27 parametric EQ offers 3-bands with 9 selectable frequencies per band, ±16 dB of boost and cut using continuous variable potentiometers, a push button shelving option for low and high frequencies, all discrete design, high headroom, low noise, and Jensen transformers on the input & output. The MA5 is a standard single-ended Class A pre amplifier.  UK made Carnhill/St Ives input transformers are used, along with custom designed Jensen output transformers. There is a stepped gain rotary switch in 5dB steps.Website: Avedis Audio

Burgin McDaniel Design Burgin McDaniel Design: The Komit compressor/limiter features feed forward design for automatic detection, an independent limiter to contain peaks, three auto presets for fast set-up, a discrete analog signal path, a balanced, floating I/O transformer, and an analog gain reduction meter.Website: Burgin McDaniel Design

Daking Plus Daking Plus: The DakingPlus EQ500, designed to fit various manufacturers’ rack-mount module frames, utilizes the same four bands and five fixed frequency select points as the famous Daking 52270 Mic-Pre/EQ and is built using the same Class A circuits. The DakingPlus Tonelux EQ has the same number of frequencies as the famous Daking Mic-Pre/EQ and uses the same classic A-Range design. The design has been adapted for digital control and uses a unique single rotary encoder for adjustments. This leaves the faceplate uncluttered and easy to read the EQ settings. Website: Daking Plus

Speck Electronics Speck Electronics: The ASC-V is a single channel 4-band equalizer in a 5.25” vertical module compatible with API Audio® 500 series rack frames. This 4-band parametric equalizer has 12 controls for equalization adjustment that covers the audio spectrum from a low 25Hz all the way up to 25kHz. The ASC-V offers both transformer-balanced and active-balanced outputs.Website: Speck Electronics
