    Aguilar offers two series of bass amp heads. The DB Series is a 750 watt hybrid design, offering tube driven tone with EQ control and lots of headroom. The AG Series includes two models: the AG 500, a 500 watt solid state bass amp head with two foot-switchable channels and a fully adjustable saturation circuit, and the AG 500 SC, a lightweight 500 watt solid state bass amp head with four bands of active EQ for the gigging bassist.

  • Ampeg

    Ampeg manufactures a variety of bass amp heads. The Heritage Series is their top of the line bass head manufactured with only the best possible components. The Classic Series uses the Ampeg SVT (Super Valve Technology), pioneered in the 1960's. The SVT Pro Series bass amp head features tube preamps and expanded EQ capability. The B Series offers solid state amps that crank out extreme wattage with limiters and effects loops.

  • Ashdown Engineering

    Ashdown Engineering offers their Valve, Classic, ABM EVO III, MAG EVO II, and Electric Blue EVO II Series' of bass amp heads. The Valve Series features tube driven tone in three strengths. The Class Series is Ashdown's flagship line of bass head. The ABM EVO III is designed for the rock bassist and features Valve Drive, a 7 band EQ, built-in subharmonics and an on-board compressor. The MAG EVO II is designed for the semi-pro who wants ABM tone at an affordable cost. The Electric Blue EVO II bass amp head features a 180 watt power section, 5 band EQ, and an on-board compressor for bass players who are just starting out.

    Carvin offers a wide selection of bass amp heads rated from 500W up to 2050W. The BX500 is a lightweight 500W bass head. The BX500RP is a rack-mountable version of the BX500. The BX1500 is a lightweight 1500W bass head. The B2000 is a mono block 2000W amplifier.

    The Gallien-Krueger manufactures a variety of bass amp heads. The MB Series is a small, compact bass head delivering 200 watts of power. The Fusion 550 incorporates a six stage tube preamp paired with a high current solid state amp. The RB Series bass amps feature Gallien's Gate Induced Valve Effect (G.I.V.E.), delivering a warm, punchy tone. The Backline 600 bass amp head is an affordable bass head that offers 300 watts and an active 4 band EQ.

  • SWR

    SWR manufactures two series' of bass amp heads. The Classic Series includes three models, the first being the SM-1500 bass head, which has two separate power modules providing 1,500 watts, an onboard tube-driven compressor, and an array of tone controls. The SM-500 bass amp head features the original SWR tube preamp and a four-band graphic/semi-parametric EQ. The last model, the SM-900 bass head, provides SWR tube preamp tone with two power modules and, when in the bridged mode, offers the option of 900 watts. It also features two three-band semi-parametric EQs with the ability to be combined into a single six-band configuration. The WorkingPro Series offers two models: the WorkingPro 700 bass head, with a classic SWR solid-state preamp and a mono-block 700 watt solid-state power amp, and the WorkingPro 400 bass amp head with the same feature set as the WorkingPro 700 but with 400 watts.

  • Warwick

    Warwick manufactures four different lines of bass amp heads. The ProFet Series includes the ProFet 3.3 bass head with 300 watts of power and a parametric EQ. The ProFet 5.2 is bigger and more powerful than the ProFet 3.2 with 500 watts of power. The X-treme bass head line includes the X-treme 10.1, featuring 1000 watts of MOSFET power and an adjustable onboard compressor, and the X-treme 5.1 bass head, which has a 500 watt power amp and many of the same features that the X-treme 10.1 has. The TubePath line includes the 500 watt TubePath 5.1 and the 1,000 watt TubePath 10.1. Both bass heads include an all-tube preamp, switches for low and high boosts, and rotary controls for bass, treble, and two parametric mids. Hellborg is the last bass head line, and it includes the Hellborg Preamp and Hellborg Power Amps. The Hellborg Preamp has a classic 70's design while the Hellborg Power Amp uses a powerful output transformer at the speaker output of a solid state power amplifier to achieve the warmth and presence of a tube amp while maintaining the clarity of a solid state design.

  • Kustom

    Kustom manufactures Groove and Deep End bass head amplifiers. The Groove bass amp head includes the Groove 1300 HD, featuring 1200 watts, a 9 band active EQ, and bass/mid/high controls with pull-shift functions. The Groove 600 HD offers 600 watts RMS and provides the same features as the Groove Bass 1300 HD with the exception of the EQ shift switches. The Deep End DE 200 HD is a fan-cooled, 200 watt RMS bass amp head with the 6 band active EQ, preamp gain and volume controls, a built-in limiter, an effects loop with send and return jacks, and a line out jack.

  • Mesa Boogie

    Mesa Boogie's line of bass amp heads includes five models. The Big Block 750 is a 750 watt bass head with an all-tube tone stack and overdrive, twin fans, and a balanced XLR direct out. The Big Block Titan V-12 is a bigger block version of the Big Block 750 and includes dual inputs, all-tube preamps, and a wide-band harness of treble, mid, and bass controls. The M-Pulse 600 bass amp head is available in a 600 watt rack version that combines the best of tube technology with high-power portability, and includes Mesa Boogie's Simul-State tube driven MOSFET power. The M-Pulse Walkabout is a 300 watt compact version of the M-Pulse 600.

  • Hartke

    Hartke builds bass head amplifiers and offers three models. The HA2500 offers 250-watts to drive small to mid-sized bass rigs. The HA3500a bass amp head includes a selectable passive or active input, tube and solid-state pre-amps, variable compression, 10-band graphic EQ, high/low frequency contour control and a direct XLR output. Hartke's HA5500 bass head has all the features of the classic 3500 with an added 500 watt power plant.

    The Epifani Performance 1000 bass amp heads are based on their highly successful UL Series of bass amps, delivering natural character, drive and impact.     The Fender Bassman 300 PRO is an all-tube bass amp head with six 6550 power tubes that deliver 300 watts into 2, 4, or 8 ohms.
