    David Gusset offers hand made custom violins, concentrating on intricate carvings and things of that nature. Gusset's work reflects his familiarity with classic Italian craftsmanship and his knowledge of Renaissance proportion and form.
  • Andrew Carruthers

    Andrew Carruthers makes custom violins. All Carruthers fiddle models are made for professional and amateur players. There are two violin models offered; the Del Gesu and a copy of the "Kochanski" Guarnieri Del Gesu. Other offerings include Violas and Cellos.
  • Moroz Violins

    John Paul Moroz offers handmade violins made from techniques similar to those employed by the Italian violinmakers of three hundred years ago. John uses only the finest materials for each of his fiddle designs. Violin tops are made of European spruce, aged over 25 years. The backs, sides and necks are Flamed Red maple from the northeast U.S.. The violins are finished with a beautiful natural resin oil varnish, which takes weeks to apply and cure.

    KC Strings offers five different series' of violin, viola, cello and upright bass. The K.C. Series fiddles are made specially for student musicians. The Heartland Series are graduated and fitted with an advanced bass bar. The Richard Williams Series violins are made with a higher level of craftsmanship from European tone woods. The William and Krutz Series utilize fully professional materials and precise specifications for advanced students and rising professionals. The Anton Krutz violin brings together the best in materials, design and construction for soloists and professional ensemble players.

  • Jonathan Cooper Violin Maker

    Jonathan Cooper is a maker of violins, violas, and cellos. He offers six different models of violin, four different models of viola, and one cello model. Models resemble makers such as Joseph Guarnieri Del Gesu, King Joseph, Antonio Stradivari, Daniel Pearl and Bescian.

    Harrison Violin is run by John Harrison. John offers violins, violas and cellos. There are two models of fiddle to choose from. One is based on a 1716 violin by Antonio Stradivari, the other by Joseph Guarneri "del Gesu" of 1741. John also accepts commissioned work.

    Franke Violin Studios is ran by Jonathan S. Franke, an award winning fiddle maker. Jonathan's favorite models are the Antonio Stradivari, Guarneri Del Gesu, and Carlo Fernando Landolfi. He also offers professional quality acoustic 5 string violins, as well as violas, cellos and upright bass instruments.

    Douglas Cox builds violins, violas and cellos in various models and styles. Standard violin models include the classics of Stradivari and Guarneri, as well as Gasparo da Salò, Storioni, Guadagnini, Stainer, Amati and Montagnanna. Each fiddle is constructed from fine maple and spruce.

    David Rivinus offers the Maximilian Violin, made to take stress off the player's left shoulder. It is a full sized violin with all the standard measurements but is extremely light. David also makes violas of many innovative designs.

    Carl Becker & Son builds their own violins, violas and cellos, but also offers a wide variety of instruments ranging from those produced by some of today's finest living makers to the rare classical Italian examples of Stradivari and Guarneri del Gesu. Carl Becker & Son are violin makers, dealers, restorers and experts.

    Johnston's violin shop first began in 1993 but did not start making fiddles until 2003. He now works out of Ft. Collins, CO. You can commission William Johstone to build you modern and Baroque violins, fractional violins, violas, tenor violas and cellos.

    Geoffrey Ovington offers custom made violins made in Shushan, New York, in the Adirondack foothills. He has built fiddles for diverse clients from the Austrian Radio Orchestra to the Bennington String Quartet. In addition to commissioned instruments, violins can be purchased at a price befitting the conservatory student.

    James Brown is a violin maker out of Claremont, CA. He specializes in violins, violas, cellos, the string bass, and bows. James offers fiddle repairs and restoration services, as well as instrument rentals and bow rehairs.

    Anne Cole makes custom violins, violas and cellos. Anne offers six different fiddle models including the Cheshire, Pearl, Pythagoras, Zeus, Ladybug and the YinYang.
  • Keith Davis Violin Shop

    Keith Davis' violin shop offers several stringed instruments for sale, as well as repairs, restorations and appraisals. While the violin makes up the bulk of his business, Keith also sells cellos, violas, banjos and mandolins. Typically, you will find dozens of fiddles for sale at any given time.

    James Wimmer has been a professional violin maker out of Santa Barbara since 1980. James specializes in fiddles, viloas and violoncelli. His client list includes Gilles Apap, Richard Greene, Athena Tergis, Laurie Lewis, Sally Barr, Mark Salzman and Michael Mendelson.
  • Lynn Berg Fiddle Maker

    Lynn Berg builds his violins in Eugene, Oregon. Lynbn found his love for the violin through his daughter when she started playing the fiddle when she was six. Lynn offers his Hardanger Fiddle model, the national folk instrument of Norway, and his Violynn, an alternatively shaped instrument commonly referred to as his "funky fiddle."
  • Frank's Fiddles

    Frank's Fiddles is ran by Frank Daniels who started his company when he retired and persued his dream of making violins. His father, Sam Daniels, was also a violin maker. Frank makes a violin about every few months, showing he spends lots of time on his instruments.
  • David Wiebe Violin Maker

    David Wiebe offers several stringed insruments including the violin, viola, cello and string bass. He offers two models of violin; the Number 28 and the Number 47. Check out David's gallery.

  • Charles Rufino

    Charles Rufino builds one main violin model, the violin 1999. He has been constructing fiddles since 1973 and has studied great instruments of antiquity while working as a restorer in fine shops.
  • Italia Strings

    Italia Strings is Marco Coppiardi's violin studio. Trained by Maestro Bergonzi and Bissolotti, he is a graduate of the Violin Making School of Cremona. Marco now operates his shop out of Boston.
