Channel Strips Microphone Preamps

The Aphex 230 Master Voice Processor combines a reflected plate amplifier tube mic preamp, an EasyRider compressor, a logic assisted gate, an aural exciter, a parametric EQ, and a Big Bottom.

The ART Voice Channel integrates a mic pre amp, dynamics, and a semi-parametric EQ section. The Pro Channel combines a tube mic pre, a switchable optical/tube compressor, and tube EQ. The Tube PAC is a simpler mic preamp and compressor.

The Avalon VT-737SP features a combination of TUBE preamplifiers, opto-compressor, sweep equalizer, output level and VU metering in a 2U space.

The Chandler Limited Channel is a recreation of several classic circuits and combines a TG2 pre amp section with an equalizer that was redesigned from an equalization circuit used in the TG12410 Transfer or mastering console. The mastering counterpart to the original "Beatles desks".

The Drawmer 1960 is a two channel unit with each channel comprised of a completely natural sounding "soft knee" vacuum tube compressor and an extremely low noise microphone pre-amplifier with switchable 48 volt phantom power. The 1969 Mercenary Edition is a new product that derives from a collaboration between two of the audio industry’s most established names, Drawmer (UK) and Mercenary Audio (USA). The MX60 Front End One is a unique mic/line/instrument input channel in a single rack space providing high quality Drawmer processing prior to tape/hard disc recording.

The Liquid Channel comes loaded with forty classic mic-pre and forty classic compressor emulations, with an expanding library online. The TrakMaster Pro is a preamp, opto-compressor, and A/D converter. The ISA220 is a preamp, EQ, and VCA based compressor. The Red 7 comes with a preamp, a de-esser/exciter and dynamics.

The GML 2020 integrated input channel combines a mic pre, a 4-band version of the 8200 Parametric EQ, and a complete 8900 Dynamic Range Controller. Additional enhancements not found in the stand-alone units include: Mic, Line, and Direct Instrument input selection, front panel mounted 2-Pole High Pass Filter, Phase Reverse, and Phantom Power switches, as well as accurate LED input metering.

The MEQ-1NV is the Great River discrete Class-A channel strip. The EQ-1NV (four-band parametric, true inductor/capacitor, ’70’s British “1081/1083”-style) is routed via the patch loop jack on the ME-1NV (two-gain-stage, dual-meter, '70's British “1073”-style mic pre).

The Langevin Dual Vocal Combo is a 2 channel microphone preamplifier with 2 shelf equalizers plus 2 channels of electro-optical limiters.

With the Manley VoxBox you get a preamplifier that is a clone of a highly regarded and popular mic pre: the Manley Mono Microphone Preamplifier. Also included is a compressor section, a de-esser/limiter section, and an EQ section. The Manley SLAM is a stereo limiter and mic pre.

The MPE-200 features two channels of microphone preamp and two channels of parametric EQ, all discrete class A transformer coupled, designed by Summit Audio with Mr. Rupert Neve.

The 528 Voice Processor is a complete analog channel strip performs six separate functions: microphone preamplification, de-essing (sibilance removal), compression/limiting, downward expansion, parametric EQ, and voice symmetry alignment. All six processes may be used simultaneously.

The Ivory 5050 mono tube preamp and compressor is a simple valve front end that features extras including a 30dB pad, hard/soft knee compression modes, a fully balanced line output and an optional digital output.

The Vintech X73 is a class A, all discrete, transformer balanced microphone preamplifier with equalizer. It is built with the same circuit design and components as the classic Neve 1073 module. The X73i features the same class A mic pre as the X73 with all of the same eq parameters plus additional mid range frequencies, selectable input impedance, 1/4 inch D.I. on front panel, transformer balanced mic and line inputs, phase reverse, phantom power switch, eq switch, 70db of gain, quality Grayhill rotary switches, custom machined aluminum knobs, plus many other features.

The Model 7602 Microphone Preamplifier/Equalizer is based on a classic and revered design utilizing pure Class ‘A’ circuitry. This unit is made with 100% discrete components, hand wound transformers and was fabricated to precisely match vintage counterparts manufactured in the early to mid 70’s.

The Mic-Pre IV offers all discrete transistor circuitry transformer balanced inputs and outputs, and Class "A" amplifiers. All relay switching is done with gold bi-furcated contacts.

The Joe Meek oneQ is a single channel unit combining Mic Pre (with Burr-Brown IC), four band EQ, and an optical compressor, De-Esser, and Enhancer.

The EC-1 is a mono channel mic pre, EQ and compressor. The equalizer can be switched post/pre the compressor.

VintageDesign offers two channel strip models. The CA73mk2 is a single channel all class-A microphone and line preamp with a 3 band EQ and a HP filter. The CA81mk2 is a single-channel, all class-A microphone and line preamp with 4-band equalizer.

The Channel One is a complete channel strip with all the tools on board for recording voices, instruments and digital or analog audio sources with the highest sound quality: a transistor/tube preamplifier, a de-esser, a compressor/limiter with noise gate, an EQ section and a headphone monitor.
