Ukuleles

  • Ukiyo Ukuleles

    Ukiyo Ukuleles builds a variety of ukulele models, including their Aero and Vita, and standard soprano, concert and tenor sizes. Woods used in ukulele building include mahogany, flame maple, acacia, cypress and koa. The Aero uke is a design that goes way back and is made to resemble an airplane. The Vita uke has "seal" shaped sound holes on it's top.
  • LoPrinzi Guitars and Ukuleles

    Augustino LoPrinzi builds guitars and ukuleles. He offers well over a dozen models of ukulele and most come in soprano, concert, tenor and baritone sizes. Typically, each uke model is built of either koa or mahogany. The number of frets range from 17 to 20, depending on the size of the instrument. A few ukulele models feature spruce or cedar tops. One uke LoPrinzi offers has rosewood back/sides.
  • Buck's County Folk Music Shop

    Buck offers ukuleles handmade in Pennsylvania. These are professional grade instruments at a reasonable price. Each ukulele features a wider fingerboard for ease of playing, all solid wood construction, graphite reinforced necks that will not warp, and removeable bridge saddles for easy action adjustments. Buck offers over a half dozen uke models in solid mahogany, American cherry or American black walnut.

  • MP Ukulele

    MP ukuleles come in 13.5" soprano, 15" concert, 17" tenor, and 19.5" baritone sizes with either a standard or pineapple shape. Tone woods available include maple, myterlwood, black acacia, bubinga, padauk, black walnut and Indian rosewood.  

  • Heaukulani Ukuleles

    "Uncle Dave" of Keaukulani Ukulele builds custom ukuleles. His "Cruiser" model is an acoustic electric tenor uke. The "Ainahau" baritone model uses koa for the back/sides and sitka spruce from Alaska for the instrument's top. Dave's Kala Koa is a solid koa ukulele and is a tenor size.
  • Moore Bettah Ukuleles

    Moore Bettah Ukuleles are custom built in Hawaii by Chuck Moore. Chuck specializes in all koa builds, but offers many wood options as well. Uke styles include tenor, double hole cutaway tenor, concert, concert pineapple, soprano, and 5, 6 and 8 string models.
  • Turner Renaissance Guitars

    Rick Turner offers the Compass Rose tenor ukulele. It has a warm, punchy, clear tone with volume to spare. The all-walnut bodied tenor uke features a cantilevered exteneded fingerboard, a fan-braced top, and the familiar Turner/Renaissance "A" line peghead. Rick Turner also offers ukuleles made of Santa Cruz sycamore.

    Boat Paddle Ukulele Co. specializes in the development of affordable handmade instruments. The goal is to build a ukulele that's attractive, sounds great and is easy to play.
  • Bluegrass Ukuleles

    Bluegrass Ukuleles is a two-man, custom ukulele outfit specializing in cigar box tenor uke models. They also build traditional ukuleles in woods ranging from koa to mahogany. Check out their gallery of fine instruments.
  • Sunday Acoustics

    Sunday Acoustics builds "Lapule" ukuleles. "Lapule" means Sunday in Hawaiian. Types of wood available include cherry, black walnut, redwood, zebra wood, cypress and others. All Sunday Acoustic ukulele builds are handmade, solid wood, and come with a bone nut and saddle, Grover tuners, and a Spanish cedar neck.

    Richard Brown builds banjo ukuleles from mesquite and Texas ebony, both native trees which grow near his south Texas home. These banjo ukulele instruments are hand crafted using only the finest materials.
