Shelley D. Park builds Selmer Maccaferri style gypsy jazz guitar models. The Modèle Elan is an early 30's Maccaferri design with a "D" shaped soundhole and 12 frets to the body. The Modèle Elan 14 is a 14 fret version of the same guitar. The Modèle Encore gypsy jazz guitar is a late period Selmer style design. JWC Guitars offers a line of gypsy jazz guitars, including their Modele Jazz Selmer Replica. This model is a faithful replica of Django's petite bouche. JWC's 12 Fret D "Orchestre" gypsy jazz model has a shorter scale and a "D" shaped soundhole more attuned toward rhythm work. There is also a 14 Fret D "Orchestre" and a 'Favino Special' model. The Favino offers a wider and deeper body modeled after the Jacques Favino guitar. Eimers Guitars
Leo Eimers specializes in building and restoring Selmer/Maccaferri style gypsy jazz guitars. There are three basic styles available and within each style Leo offers multiple gypsy jazz guitar models to choose from. The Selmer style has an oval soundhole with five parallel sound braces, 67 cm scale length and 14 frets to the body. The Selmer/Maccaferri style has a D-shaped soundhole with either 12 or 14 frets to the body. The Favino style offers an oval sound hole with four sound braces and a wider body. Michael Collins offers two models of gypsy jazz guitar. The Grande Bouche features a wooden resonator behind the soundhole, walnut neck, ebony fingerboard, Adirondack spruce top bracing, Douglas fir back bracing, and solid rosewood bindings. The Petite Bouche gypsy jazz guitar features a walnut neck, Lutz spruce soundboard, East Indian rosewood back and sides, rosewood bridge and ebony fingerboard. Michael Dunn Guitars
Michael Dunn's line of gypsy jazz guitars consists of several models. The Belleville has a 670mm string length and uses medium to light density tropical hardwood for the back and sides. The Mystery Pacific features an internal soundbox and reflector. The Ultrafox contains an interior soundbox and reflector with a 670 mm string length. The Daphne uses spruce cedar for the soundboard and rosewood or satin wood for the back and sides. The Stardust has a string length of 640mm and is well suited as an all around gypsy jazz guitar. The Fleche D'Or features Mediterranean Cypress wood on its sides and back. The Patenotte features mahogany sides and back with a cedar top. AJL Guitars
AJL features a line of gypsy jazz guitar models. Their Model Jazz is similar to an original Selmer oval-hole. The Model 503 offers a little more bass response as well as a mellower high end over the standard oval-hole style. The Andreas Oberg Gypsy Fire features Favino bracing, a slightly steeper neck angle and a higher bridge. Their D-hole gypsy jazz models can be ordered with an internal resonator and come in either 648mm or 670mm string length. The Andreas Oberg Deep Purple guitar has a large Favino shaped body with a laminated birds eye maple body and solid European spruce top.
