Overture 4 is notation software for Windows or Mac. Overture 4 can be used to create piano, band, orchestral, choral and lead sheet notation. Overture 4 features templates and can print arrangements of up to 64 instruments as well as featuring extensive MIDI features, drum mapping and desktop publishing.  

Makemusic offers several music notation programs including Finale, Finale Allegro, Finale PrintMusic, Finale Songwriter, Finale Notepad and Finale Viewer. Products range in performance from full featured to simple viewing.

FreeStyle by MOTU is a trackless sequencer that generates instant music notation. FreeStyle also includes support for MIDI instruments as well as proving tape recorder and drum machine style composing.

SmartScore X by Musitek is available in Pro, Songbook, Piano, MIDI and Guitar editions. SmartScore X features scan, play, transpose, print, reformatting and re writing abilities as well as editing and file exporting.

Neuratron Photoscore 5 is a music scanning program featuring a dual-engine recognition system capable of recognizing standard sheet music as well as 4 and 6 line guitar tablature, 1, 2 and 3 line percussion staves. Photoscore 5 is designed to read handwritten scores.

Notion offers several music notation software products. Notion 2.0 features a completely integrated full orchestral library of the London Symphony Orchestra, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, full set of multi-timbre samples, articulations, performance techniques, and instructions as well as integrated audio mixer and sample management engine. Notion Protégé allows you to direct the London Symphony Orchestra, click and drag notes, export to wav files and write up to 8 instruments in a single score. Sharp eye is a music scanning program used to scan and convert printed sheet music into a music notation file or a MIDI file which can then be imported into a music notation program or MIDI sequencer.

Sibelius 5 notation software features audio playback, printing capabilities, ability to create web versions of scores and a 2 gigabit collection of sounds.
