BG Pups: BG Pups carries custom hand wound guitar pickups like The Phatty. The Phatty is a beefy little single coil that ventures into P-90 territory. It uses vintage fiber flatwork, non staggered alnico 5 magnets and vintage style cloth push back wire. These pickups can be wound as a calibrated set and RWRP for hum cancelling in the 2 and 4 switch settings. They offer a 7 day period where you can return the pup for a rewind or exchange if it does not provide the tone you are looking for.

Gibson: Gibson's first successful single-coil pickup, the lean and mean P-90 offers a stellar combination of high output and biting treble response. Phat Cats are P-90 soapbar pickups squeezed into a humbucker cover. They are direct retrofits for most humbucker-equipped guitars, without need for permanent modification to the instrument, they drop right in.

Phat Cats have a true single coil design with two sand cast Alnico magnets and single conductor, braided shield, hookup cable.

The short, flat bobbins account for the fatter, midrange-intensive tone; and the nickel-silver cover reduces 60-cycle hum and tames the raggedness sometimes associated with P-90s.

Phat Cats are available in neck and bridge calibrated position with nickel plating.

Phat Cats are vacuum wax potted. Mounting hardware (screws and springs) is included, as is a detailed wiring diagram.
